Clinical Records Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Clinical Records Coordinator of our 5 star rated Skilled Nursing Facility. The Clinical Records Coordinator will be responsible for the completeness, maintenance, and security of medical records in compliance with policy and State and Federal guidelines and regulations. This position will also provide tours, insurance verification, admission and weekly authorizations for Managed Care residents, and admission packets. The Clinical Records Coordinator will participate as requested in implementing corrective action, educating clinical staff, and assess for completion and timeliness of documentation by nursing staff and IDT. Wage: $20.00 - $27.00 /hr DOE Schedule: Full-Time ; Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm About You: Associate's degree or comparable training or experience in medical records, healthcare or a related field is preferred. Significant knowledge of medical record laws and regulations, long-term care facility operations. Proficiency in English reading and writing with a working knowledge of medical terminology. Strong computer skills, especially with an emphasis in electronic medical records systems (specifically Point Click Care and/or Matrixcare). Strong knowledge of Diagnostic coding.
