The Contracting Specialist, Clinical Recruitment is responsible for supporting the Clinical Recruitment COE by performing tasks associated with clinical employment agreements. The incumbent in this role works with both internal clients and external vendors (for visa candidates) to ensure provider employment agreements are legally compliant. He/She safeguards an overall positive candidate experience by ensuring problem resolution in a prompt, professional and accurate manner. **ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Supports initial screening and employment agreement review for visa sponsored physician candidates. + Aids in enforcing guardrails set by the Legal COE to make employment agreement changes through discussions with clinical candidates, identifies and reports trends that create challenges for recruiting clinical talent. + Advises on questions related to employment agreements, works directly with the candidates and legal teams when employment agreement negotiations occur outside of established guidelines and guardrails. + Addresses commonly asked legal questions about employment agreements (non-compete, sole source of income, bonus language etc.). Works with Legal COE as well as, enterprise-wide stakeholders to promptly address and resolve issues. + Facilitates and participates in clinical recruitment-related meetings with business partners and other key stakeholders. + Reviews employment agreements for accuracy, compliance and completeness. + Serves as the primary contact for candidate questions and inquiries, liaises as a subject matter expert (while under advice of) for the Legal COE on clinical employment agreement matters. + Obtains regular guidance from Legal COE’s to maintain a comprehensive understanding of ChenMed’s legal objectives. + Leverages the appropriate resources to resolve issues and complaints. + Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:** + Fundamental business acumen and acuity + Keen knowledge of different states’ employment and non-compete regulations, guidelines and + Essential knowledge and understanding of general contract compliance functions, practices, processes, procedures, techniques and methods + Advanced understanding and knowledge of employment agreements + Superior organizational and prioritization skills to manage work and multiple priorities + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Excellent attention to detail + Ability to understand and interpret complex legal terminology + Adept at managing difficult communications + Ability to research and analyze + Must be able to work with clinical candidates’ legal representatives within scope of duty + Self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimal supervision + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software + Spoken and written fluency in English + This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:** + BA/BS degree in Legal Studies, Contract Management or a closely related field required **OR** additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis + A minimum of 4 years of legal or contracting work experience required + Experience drafting contracts We’re ChenMed and we’re transforming healthcare for seniors and changing America’s healthcare for the better.
