Our Summer Internship program also includes instructor led training, guided mentorship, exposure to senior leadership and community service. In addition to individual and specific related responsibilities, each intern will participate in our Intern Innovation Lab. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative solution to a business problem currently facing Medidata. As they work diligently to present their final solutions to a panel of top Medidata leaders, we are confident that our interns will make a significant impact on our business.

We are looking for a research assistant to support clinical epidemiology projects. These projects include secondary analysis of clinical trial data from existing Medidata research archives and have a clear clinical focus and result in an abstract submission to a scientific meeting. The intern will provide support in this endeavor in several broad ways including through literature review, secondary data coding, statistical analyses, and scientific writing. They will be a key and very welcomed part of a vibrant, gracious, and highly successful scientific team.

Responsibilities:

Secondary analysis of clinical trial data. This project will be focused on integrating disparate clinical trial data files into a single analytic file, analyzing the data, and helping to report findings. This role will work alongside the Synthetic Control Arm team who specializes in secondary analysis of clinical trial data to make novel inferences. Following completion of this project, the intern will have gained expertise in manipulation of longitudinal clinical trial datasets, biostatistical methods of data analysis, literature reviews, and scientific writing.

Qualifications:

Good communication - verbal and written Detail-oriented, well organized, and an ability to prioritize work. An interest in life sciences and the technology sector Experience with medical/scientific literature reviews Ability to manipulate data using conventional software Analytics experience, especially biostatistics, (e.g., SAS, R) Minimum education level required: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Fields of study: Public Health, STEM, pre-medical student

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on many factors including function, level, candidate experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary for this position is $32.00 - $37.00 per hour with a benefit of a $3,500 sign on bonus.
