Status: Full-Time permanent position
Standard working hours: Weekend and evening hours will be required, to accommodate churches schedules – but some of the visits/appointments will be during normal business hours. This really requires a flexible schedule to fit our needs.
Location: Reports to Sentara Health Research Center at Centre Pointe in Virginia Beach, VA, as needed. Will travel to the communities, specifically various churches in Hampton Roads (Norfolk, VB, Newport News) for clinical studies for blood pressure study and/or cancer screening, approximately 75% of the time.
Job responsibilities:
The Clinical Research Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Clinical Research Coordinators with research studies; including the following activities: screening, enrolling, patient follow-up and study-related data entry.
Will ensure protocol compliance by closely monitoring and documenting study subjects while on study.
In addition, will assist with data and source documentation, and adverse event reporting.
Required qualifications:
An Associate's Level Degree plus 2 years of experience OR Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) /Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) plus 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
