The Center for Behavioral Health and Technology (CBHT) at UVA is seeking applicants for a Study Coordinator for an NIH-funded project. This position involves close collaboration with the Principal Investigator (PI) and the research team to manage study-related administrative and operational activities. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this role. We are particularly interested in hiring self-motivated individuals who can work both independently and within a team setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for study-related administrative issues.
Schedule team meetings and take detailed notes during discussions.
Lead participant recruitment efforts, including conducting phone interviews and reviewing online interest forms submitted by potential participants.
Delegate tasks to study research assistants.
Oversee the day-to-day management of the project.
Assist the PI in managing IRB documents and other study-related administrative tasks.
Provide administrative assistance for other CBHT projects as needed.
Support the planning, management, and tracking of the intervention build for the trial.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, communication strategies, QA plans, and risk management plans.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent combination of experience, education and or certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with at least four years of experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
Experience managing clinical trials.
Strong technical and non-technical writing skills.
Experience working in an academic environment.
Proven ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic technical knowledge and comfort working with technology.
Exceptional decision-making, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to create a positive, productive work environment that fosters collaboration and supports the mission of CBHT and UVA.

Anticipated Hiring Range:
$46,000 - $70,000
