The University of Miami/UHealth is currently seeking a full time Clinical Research Coordinator 2 to work in Coral Gables, FL. The Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Research Coordinator 2 to oversee and support the operational aspects of physical therapy clinical trials. The incumbent will be under the supervisor of the Director, Finance and Research Administration. His/her role will involve assisting with grant submissions, processing documentation, tracking progress, coordinating activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical research methodologies, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for advancing physical therapy practices.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
+ Assist the Director of Finance and Research Administration with Pre-Award submissions
+ Provides technical assistance and guidance to faculty and administrators in developing and preparing funding proposals.
+ Responds to general inquiries regarding sponsored program policies and procedures.
+ Review grant applications to ensure accuracy.
+ Process expense reimbursements, purchase orders, petty cash, work orders for the research and laboratories.
+ Maintains the internal proposal documents and electronic records for assigned portfolios.
+ Processes and disseminates various non-financial post-award actions such as award notifications, amendments, and related documents.
+ Assists in the coordination of the project closeout.
+ Coordinates with faculty on the possible need for budget revisions to be consistent with the award amount as received.
+ Review award terms and conditions and discuss flagged items with faculty.
+ Oversees all audits and bank reconciliations of petty cash accounts.
+ Monitors sponsored programs subcontracting activity.
+ Submits to accounts payable all received and endorsed invoices and tracks timely payments by that unit.
+ Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory documents, including IRB applications, clinical trial protocols, and informed consent forms.
+ Manage clinical trial data processing, ensuring accurate tracking of participant enrollment, study milestones, and data collection timelines.
+ Serves as liaison and facilitates meetings between project stakeholders and leadership; completes and maintains professional documentation for projects and deliverables; develops SOPs as needed; and assists in auditing and monitoring of studies.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investigators, research coordinators, and external stakeholders, to facilitate the smooth execution of clinical studies.
+ Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements, institutional policies, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards throughout the study lifecycle.
+ Maintain comprehensive and organized study documentation, including study logs, meeting minutes, and regulatory binders. Prepare and submit progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
+ Train and guide research staff on protocols, compliance requirements, and data management practices.
+ Identify and address challenges in clinical trial operations, implementing solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of research activities.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Bachelor’s; Master’s degree preferred in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, public health, or clinical research)
Experience:2 years of experience in clinical research, focusing on physical therapy or related fields.

+ Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
+ Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
