What You Will Do:
We are currently searching for Clinical Research Coordinator to independently contribute to satisfying the overall operational objectives of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) through the provision of services and deliverables.  This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Bethesda, MD.  

Contribute to ensuring study compliance with local and federal laws and regulations.Collaborate with the Principal Investigator (PI) and other team members in management of protocols from inception to study close-out as well as in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports.Recruit and screen potential study participants, perform intake assessments, and obtain informed consent for non-treatment clinical trials (screening, natural history, and observational trials).Coordinate, schedule, and ensure timely completion of protocol-required events in conjunction with lab staff and other requirements (e.g., pharmacokinetics or dynamics, scans, study visits, quality of life, PROs). Ensure timely scheduling of patients for appointments/testing and careful acquisition and distribution of clinical samples. Confirm all protocol required testing and patient visits are scheduled in accordance with protocol guidelines.Diligently document all patient encounters in the legal medical record and other areas as required by the Institution. Obtain documents from outside providers/ laboratories that are needed as part of the research data. Assess documentation for discrepancies and ensure that inaccurate or discrepant documentation is addressed in the medical record or other source documents. Participate in office and branch activities to improve documentation.Create and/or maintain all documents and records related to the study.Act as a point of reference for study participants by answering questions and keeping them informed on the study progress.Manage the inventory of equipment and supplies related to the study to include placing orders as needed and in accordance with standard operating procedures.Draft reports on each study, including notes on protocols, workload, and data collection. Collaborate with data management to ensure the quality of data captured in electronic data capture systems.


What You Will Need:

Bachelor’s DegreeAt least ONE (1) years of clinical research experience.Possess an understanding of medical terminology as well as standard clinical procedures and protocols.Able to lift up to 20 pounds for a short period and capable of standing for extended periods of time.Working knowledge of good clinical practices and federal regulations for the implementation of clinical trials.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

Ability to speak a second language is an asset, but not required.Excellent organizational, time-management, and written/verbal communication skills.Fully capable of working independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.Proficient to intermediate skills in Microsoft 365.Familiar with software systems such as electronic medical records or electronic data capture systems.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,900.00-$98,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
