SUMMARY:

Conducts and assists in the System physician and staff’s clinical research trials and projects. Obtains informed consent, collects, maintains, and processes study information and research data in strict accordance with specified research and clinical protocol.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday; Days 8 am to 430pm

ATTRIBUTES: 

Required Education: Associates DegreePreferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in biology or healthcare related fieldRequired Certification: ACRP or SOCRA certification within one year of becoming eligiblePreferred Certification: ACRP or SOCRA certificationPreferred: 1-3 years of experience in healthcare or related science field, with knowledge of medical terminology

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Excellent time management skills with the ability to manipulate multiple schedules, attend subject study visits, and document and record accurate data in compliance with the protocol and study design in a timely and efficient mannerPrepare and facilitate site selection, initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits conducted by sponsor pharmaceutical companies, and follow-up as necessaryAbility to comprehend and utilize information from multiple sources to support the identification and recruitment of potential research participants based on strict study criteriaAbility to communicate and work professionally with all levels of health care providers (physicians, nursing staff, laboratory, practice managers etc.)High level of attention to detail and thoroughnessSelf-starter and motivatedAbility to work independently as well as in a team settingComfortable traveling to various clinical sites with the St. Lawrence Health SystemProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
