Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Clinical Research Coordinator, is responsible for overall clinical operations of the facility’s assigned research protocols including enrollment, regulatory, quality, and site operations. **Essential Job Functions:** 1. Supports enrolling patients onto clinical trials through recruitment, screening, enrollment, treatment, and follow-up of eligible participants according to protocol requirements. 2. Reviews the study design and inclusion/exclusion criteria with physician and patient 3. Ensures the protection of study patients by verifying informed consent procedures and adhering to protocol requirements 4. Collects, completes, and enters data into study specific case report forms (CRFs) or electronic data capture systems within study required timelines 5. Ensures the integrity of the data submitted on case report forms or other data collection tools by careful source document review; monitors data for missing or implausible data 6. Ensures that adequate and accurate records are maintained for inspecting Additional Job Functions: 1. Creates study specific tools for source documentation when not provided by sponsor 2. Generates and tracks drug shipments, lab kits, and other supplies as needed 3. Reports and follows up on serious adverse events as per the protocol and regulations 4. Implements study-specific communications 5. Responsible for accurate and complete documentation of protocol requirements according to site work instructions/SOPs 6. Tracks and reports adverse events, serious adverse events, protocol waivers, and deviations 7. Communicates all protocol-related issues to appropriate study colleagues and stakeholders 8. Maintains accurate and complete records, including regulatory documents, signed informed consent forms, source documentation, drug dispensing logs, screening and enrollment logs, and study communications 9. Coordinates regular site research meetings 10. Attends study-specific on-site meetings/visits, investigator meetings, conference calls, and other coordinator meetings, as required. 11. Ensure GCP, SOP, and protocol training and compliance of all team members 12. Problem solves clinical situations along with research staff as they arise 13. Assists in tracking of and reporting of quarterly goals for research program 14. Works closely with monitors, study teams and site staff to ensure quality study data 15. Supports strategic and tactical plans for site growth 16. Communicates site status through a weekly activity report to appropriate site/management colleagues 17. Represents the company vision to site colleagues and affiliated organizations 18. Supports the mission and vision of the Methodist Healthcare System. Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use appropriate safety equipment and procedures at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features of equipment, tools or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function. 20. Completes other duties as assigned. **Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics:** 1. Education: Minimum Associate Degree, Bachelor’s College Degree, preferable. 2. Experience: Minimum required experience in a clinical research setting of 1 year but less than 3 years, Preferred would be three to five years of research experience. Appropriate education may be substituted for partial experience. 3. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable). 4. Knowledge of medical and research terminology, FDA Code of Federal Regulations and Good Clinical Practice and clinical research processes. 5. Skill and proficiency to perform verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking 6. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, multiple ongoing priorities and projects and communicate and work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
