Job Description

The Clinical Research Coordinator coordinates and helps facilitate all aspects of the Glaucoma Research-based clinical trials. The position demonstrates expertise in ophthalmic imaging techniques utilized to obtain images for research studies.

ResponsibilitiesProvide moderate to advanced range of coordination for research studies.Assist with recruitment, enrollment, grant submissions, and research data collection.Obtain informed consents, perform patient screenings, and enroll/monitor patients in an outpatient setting.Acquire ophthalmic images using optical coherence tomography.Educate patients regarding the administration of medication.Assist with image archiving and storage.Maintain inventory of supplies.Essential SkillsChart reviewPre-screening patientsClinical researchClinical trial coordinationPatient recruitmentGood Clinical Practice (GCP)Electronic Data Capture (EDC)Regulatory complianceInstitutional Review Board (IRB) processesHigh School diploma or GED (Bachelor's Degree preferred)At least 2 years of Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) experienceAdditional Skills & Qualifications1 year of experience as an ophthalmic photographer preferredExperience with ophthalmology and ophthalmic imaging softwareExperience in clinical studiesPhlebotomy skillsOphthalmologic imaging experiencePatient-facing experienceCertified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification preferredWork Environment

This is a full-time position on-site in Philadelphia with standard 9-5 work hours, although some hours may vary depending on patient schedules. This is a patient-facing position, providing the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art diagnostic and imaging tools for eyes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
