Clinical Research Coordinator II

     

Position Summary:

In addition to standard Clinical Research Coordinator I duties, effectively coordinates the conduct of complex clinical research studies under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Director of Research & Care Transformation, and department leadership. 

 

Full Time - Day Shift - 80 Hours Per Pay Period

 

Responsibilities:


Performs all Clinical Research Coordinator core responsibilities
Acts as an expert resource for research and non-research staff regarding clinical research,
Conducts protocol feasibility reviews
Evaluates protocols for study budget input and contracting
Develops Case Report Forms
Manages FDA audits, monitor visits, and maintain documentation for audit readiness
Responsible for work with complex studies
Coordinates studies in multiple specialties or settings
Creates and manages study build in EHR and other applications as necessary
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Works primarily independently with support from leadership
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

     

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:


Associates degree in healthcare, biology, research, project management, or related field preferred
Minimum 3 years’ research coordinator work experience required
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related healthcare position, such as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant, required
Clinical research certification preferred or willing to obtain
Familiar with principles of protocol development, study design and IRB process required
Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and database management required
Travel as required
Willing and able to complete additional training (IATA, EMR, etc.) as required
BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation

     

Working Conditions:


Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
