Clinical Research Nurse
Clinical Research Nurse Job Description We are seeking two dedicated Clinical Research Nurses for a contract position in an office-based setting. This role involves working on an early phase Bunionectomy study. One nurse will work day shifts (36 hours per week) and another will work overnight shifts (24 hours per week). The position requires GCP training and experience in clinical trials. Responsibilities + Review patient charts and medical records. + Conduct patient recruitment for the study. + Perform EKGs and assess vital signs. + Assist patients with mobility, including bathroom visits. + Draw blood and process charts. + Conduct pre-assessments and prepare patients for surgery on Mondays. + Monitor patients post-surgery until discharge on Wednesdays. + Ensure all data is collected and documented accurately. Essential Skills + Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in clinical research. + Strong interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail. + Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. + Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). + Familiarity with clinical trial master filing systems. + Ability to travel for activities, attend investigator meetings, or vendor visits/audits as required. + High ethical standards and professional integrity. + Passion for direct patient interaction. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Friendly and outgoing demeanor. + Clinical competence and positive leadership qualities. + Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. + Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. + Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. + Dexterity for handling small parts and operating machines. + Excellent hearing and speaking abilities for clear communication. Work Environment This role is based at a site in Austin, TX. The work involves site-level tasks at a partner site specializing in biobehavioral research and podiatry. Shifts are structured as follows: Day Shift - Monday to Wednesday, 7am-7pm (36 hours); Night Shift - Monday to Wednesday, 7pm-7am (24 hours). The facility is equipped with all necessary medical and research equipment, and the dress code is professional attire. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
