Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at a well-renowned Cancer Center in Kokomo. The successful candidate will support current oncology trials, primarily in Phase 2-3, and assist with an RO1 grant related to bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy starting in December. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of oncology research without needing prior clinical research experience--NO PRIOR CLINICAL RESEARCH EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

Experience in bone marrow transplant or stem cell therapy.A minimum of 2 years of experience working in oncology.Chemo certification or willingness to obtain certification.Must obtain CCRC (Certified Clinical Research Coordinator) within 3 years of hire.ResponsibilitiesSupport and manage oncology clinical trials, primarily in Phase 2-3.Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses.Assist with an RO1 grant focused on bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy.Ensure compliance with clinical trial protocols and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with the research team and provide patient care in accordance with study protocols.Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient data and trial progress.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in clinical research and clinical trials.Knowledge of regulatory requirements in clinical research.Willingness to learn and be trained in research methodologies.Work Environment

The schedule will vary based on patient needs, potentially including 3-12 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts, with no patient visits on Friday's. The work environment offers some flexibility to work from home on Fridays. The Clinical Research Nurse will work closely with one other research nurse at this location and have support from the research team in North Indianapolis. The role involves working in both the research building/office near the hospital and an outpatient clinic within the hospital, with frequent transitions between these adjacent buildings.
