Job Summary:
• The Clinical Resource Nurse reports to the Director/Nursing Manager, and works collaboratively with the clinical educator in the operations of the patient care unit ensuring high quality clinical competency and patient care leading to positive outcomes for the patients and staff. He/she participates with the nursing team in care planning and delivery, utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served, in accordance with the stated philosophy and objectives of patient care services. Actively participates in achieving the goals and objectives of the Patient Care Services Strategic plan, vision and mission.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
Experience:
Minimum three years of nursing experience in specialty with demonstrated leadership abilities required.
Evidence of continued professional growth and knowledge of new trends and developments in nursing and patient care required.
Licensure and/or Certification:
Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
BLS healthcare provider required.
ACLS required for areas with designated pediatric responsibilities
PALS required for areas with designated pediatric responsibilities
Telemetry experience required
Certification in specialty area strongly preferred, or obtained within first year of hire
