Description:

The Clinical Resource Unit Manager - Float Pool at MacNeal Hospital is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the float pool nursing team. This leadership role involves managing the coordination, staffing, and scheduling of float pool nurses across various clinical units, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality patient care. The Float Pool Leader works closely with unit managers, department heads, and HR to ensure appropriate staffing levels and address any concerns related to nurse assignments, performance, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Staffing & Scheduling: Oversee float pool staffing and scheduling to ensure that all units are adequately covered according to patient care needs. Work with department managers to adjust staffing levels as needed.Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to float pool nurses, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Ensure staff are trained, motivated, and well-prepared to work across various clinical settings.Performance Management: Monitor the performance of float pool nurses, providing constructive feedback, conducting evaluations, and identifying opportunities for professional development.Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the float pool team and clinical departments, ensuring clear communication regarding nurse assignments, unit-specific needs, and any changes to scheduling or staffing.Quality and Compliance: Ensure that float pool nurses maintain compliance with all healthcare standards, policies, and regulations. Support ongoing initiatives for quality improvement and patient safety.Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution: Address staffing or personnel issues promptly, working with HR and management to resolve conflicts or concerns that may arise within the float pool team.Training & Development: Organize orientation and ongoing education for float pool nurses, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform across multiple departments.Resource Management: Assist in the management of float pool resources, including equipment, supplies, and nurse competencies, ensuring that float pool nurses have everything they need to provide exceptional care.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing.Active RN license in the State of IL

Compensation:

$46.53- $76.78 hr.

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
