Overview
Under the direction of the VP of Clinical Services and reporting through the Service Line Manager of Acute Care, the Clinical Resources Supervisor coordinates patient flow and appropriate nursing resources throughout the hospital on a daily basis. The Supervisor works collaboratively with the Coordinator Nursing Quality and Safety to build and foster supportive relationships with clinical staff, facilitate clinical performance improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance. With a focus on quality and safety, the Clinical Resources Supervisor works closely with other UHS departments to maintain the standards of ACHC, NYSDOH, CMS, and other regulatory agencies. The Clinical Resources Supervisor collaborates with Nursing Supervisors and other leadership to ensure adequate resources, i.e., staff, equipment, and supplies.
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
+ A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
+ Bachelor's in nursing or health related field
+ 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare setting to include background in clinical operations, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and performance/quality improvement
+ Knowledge of ACHC/Joint Commission, CMS, and NYSDOH standard/regulations.
Preferred:
+ Knowledge of High Reliability Organization principles and experience utilizing them.
+ Experience in Epic Grand Central (bed management).
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
+ Current New York State license as a Registered Nurse
+ BLS within 3 months of hire
+ ACLS within 6 months of hire
Preferred:
+ Professional certification in a related specialty
