Shift Primarily Monday-Friday 8-5 but may require evenings and weekends as needed. Job Summary This position serves as a Clinical Risk Manager for the UK HealthCare Risk Management Office. This position, in collaboration with the department director, conducts clinical risk investigations of adverse occurrences reported to the UKHC Risk Department. In addition, this position reviews, analyzes and tracks data from occurrence/event reporting and patient grievances for trends to identify loss reduction opportunities; coordinates efforts with UK HealthCare Quality and Patient Safety Department efforts to identify risk threats and serves to foster a patient safety and peer support environment; assists the director in enterprise loss prevention strategies and pre-litigation evaluations. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Experience utilizing MS Windows, EHR/EPIC and Office Suite. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience 10 years of clinical nursing experience with three years experience in either nursing management, risk management, medico-legal paralegal work, or quality preferred.
