Clinical Social Worker/Coordinator of Juveniles Starting Over
Overview: The Clinical Social Worker/Coordinator of Juveniles Starting Over Program (JSO) is responsible for overseeing the treatment provided to youth referred to JSO program. This role serves as a liaison to the Probation Dept. and other referring agencies, and provides individual and group supervision, as well as case consultation to team members as needed. The Coordinator provides direct psychosocial and therapeutic services to both adjudicated and non-adjudicated juvenile sexual offenders eligible for the program’s services. Additionally, this role supervises and manages cases for clients eligible for services under the Crime Victims Advocacy and Support Program (CVASSP) and other clients with trauma history within the Trager Lemp Center for Trauma and Resilience (TLC). This is a full-time (35 hours/week) position with a hybrid schedule available. The compensation for this role is $70,000 annually. Responsibilities: As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: + Coordinating the JSO Treatment program, including training of clinicians and assurance of best practices. + Providing direct services, including individual and group therapy, to youth with problematic sexual behaviors and/or their caregivers. + Supervising JSO clinicians and providing guidance. + Delivering training on assessment and treatment of youth with problematic sexual behavior to interested clinical staff. + Acting as a liaison with Westchester County Department of Probation and other referral agencies. + Maintaining accurate records and completing all required documentation required by the agency, including case records, monthly statistical sheets, schedules, etc. + Providing direct services, including individual and group therapy, to eligible clients under the Crime Victims Advocacy and Support Program (CVASSP) and other trauma clients within TLC. + Supervising CVASSP and other trauma clinicians; attend CVASSP team meetings as needed. + Representing the agency at community meetings and conferences as necessary, and participating in agency committees and special projects, as needed. + Providing emergency and general clinical coverage as needed. Requirements: We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications: + A valid license to practice clinical social work or mental health counseling in New York State (LCSW or LMHC or more advanced degree) + A minimum of 2-3 years working with clients with trauma or abuse history + At least 1 year of experience working with clients with problematic sexual behavior + Comprehensive knowledge of modern principles and techniques of social work + Current expertise in juvenile sexual offender treatment and supervision + Strong understanding of theory and practice related to trauma and abuse + Familiarity of community resources + Proficiency in conducting interviews to obtain social and medical information necessary to perform diagnostic evaluation. + Ability to analyze and summarize psychosocial information + Excellent communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
