This new team member will perform professional level project activities for software systems designed to store and manage data for clinical studies. Additionally, will apply engineering knowledge to develop software code and unit test snippets as directed. **What You’ll Work On** + Design and develop innovative solutions to support business processes in the execution of Clinical Trials + Follows instructions to add or change software code in pre-existing functions. Implements code in moderately complex components. + Maintain and support current/legacy applications, enhancing functionalities, and creating ad-hoc queries/reports. + Draw inferences from data and distinguish trends in data. + Writes, updates, and maintains requirement and application specifications. **Required** **Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree with 0-2 years of related experience or Associate's Degree with a minimum 4 years of related experience. + Basic experience in designing and developing complex software systems. + Basic knowledge in programming languages such as modular program languages, Python & agile methodologies + Basic level of understanding of test-driven methodologies + Basic familiarity with continuous integration & continuous development (CI/CD) + Demonstrated aptitude for technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Basic ability to develop & design + Basic level understanding of design patterns + Analytical & problem-solving skills + Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities **Preferred** **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer, science or a related engineering field. + Basic level of ability to conduct thorough data analytics & implement data-driven solutions. + Solid understanding of web design and development principles + Fundamentals of database architecting/modeling/design + 1 year of experience in API architecture, design, and development. + Experience working with cloud infrastructures such as Azure, Agile Environment and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React. + Familiarity with machine learning/AI applied to business problems. + Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. + Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. + Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects. + Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. + Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. + Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. **Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:** www.abbottbenefits.com (http://www.abbottbenefits.com/pages/candidate.aspx) Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
