Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. As a result, the company is working to provide our differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients that would benefit through our out-patient clinic partnerships.The Clinical Specialist identifies and supports action plans to improve clinical quality outcomes and drive business performance. This role partners directly with the center staff and Home Office nursing support to provide clinical and subject matter expertise where appropriate in order to achieve the desired results. This role ensures that best practices are deployed, and supports the clinical audit function to ensure compliance, reduced variability, and increase overall productivity of nursing resources.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
STRATEGIC OVERSIGHT
Performs on-site assessments to validate data and assess leadership to inform gap analysis and related recommendations.
Consults with Healogics Market, Territory and Center leadership teams as internal customers to recommend action plans driven by clinical and operational metric reporting analysis and specific need to increase center level outcomes.
Identifies resources needed to make recommended changes by partnering with Division level and Home Office support resources.
Supports innovation and improvement projects when nursing expertise is needed.
Support Implementations virtually and onsite.
Supports new clinical leaders through mentorship virtually and onsite
Ensure compliant application of regulatory expectations at a center level
Performs other duties as required.
CLINICAL OVERSUGHT
Creates Exceptional Patient Experiences through process improvement into core clinical areas of center level operations and ensures patient access through recommendations of key levers for improvement.
Identifies clinical gaps impacting quality results for our patients and hospital partners and uses expertise to make recommendations for closing diagnosed gaps.
Partners with local team to create and potentially implement education plans to meet the individualized needs of the clinical team using data driven clinical processes designed to improve clinical outcomes.
Provides level 2, subject matter expert, coverage for Nursing Support organization. Analyzes escalated inquiries, engages appropriate resources, and provides accurate and timely resolution.
Provides both remote and onsite assistance to nursing resources to implement action plans successfully.
Supports the deployment of best practices in the nursing space as new improvements are approved.
Supports the execution of clinical audits to improve adherence to standard practice and reduce unwanted variability
Supports the execution of efforts to increase the retention and productivity of nursing resources.
Provides feedback to leadership on practical issues in the field affecting nursing priorities.
Required Education, Experience and Credentials:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to be maintained throughout the duration of employment in this position
Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field preferred
Min five (5) years of progressive strategic consulting experience in clinical operations in the healthcare industry required
Demonstrated results in center optimization and sustained results
