Clinical Specimen Lab Accessioner - 1st shift

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Specimen Accessioning team in Saint Paul, MN. Our Specimen Accessioners are responsible for performing specimen receipt, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

Schedule: 1st shift, Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Pay: $16.50/hr.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

   After your on-site training you will be able to:

Receive, unpack, and prepare samples for entry (blood, urine, body fluids, and non-biological samples)Verify and enter patient information into databaseLabel and stabilize sample for testingSort and deliver samples to multiple technical areasStore, retrieve, and dispose of samples based on life cycleMeet key production metrics while maintaining high quality standardsIdentify and flag sample issues that may impact testingFollow all safety protocols to ensure your safety and the safety of others

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalentAble to work independently under general supervisionAble to pass a standardized color blind testMust be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50-lbsStrong data entry/10-key and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailMedical/clinical laboratory experience a plus
