Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Clinical Standardization and Quality Improvement Specialist to join our dynamic team! Operating independently in autonomously, this pivotal role serves as a person to execute and manage clinical initiatives aimed at reduced cost and improved clinical outcomes. Focused on clinical projects to improve medical necessity and utilization management across diverse care areas, the ideal candidate brings a knowledge of the clinical care and evidence-based practice across inpatient and ambulatory environments, clinical operations and how to traverse multiple governance structures and teams.
The ideal candidate has immense collaboration skills, and proficiency in change management. Through rigorous analysis of existing processes, this role will engineer sustainable and quantifiable improvements, partnering with clinicians to develop care standards and optimize cost-efficiency in a clinical environment.
Key responsibilities include partnering with clinical stakeholders to integrate evidence-based guidelines, refine algorithms, policies and guidelines, and provide expertise in optimizing technology and streamlining project planning. Essential Functions
Independently provides project management for new and existing programs and projects. Ensures required documentation, reporting, data collection and database utilization are performed in an accurate and timely manner. Prepares progress reports, study results and other reports as required.Collects and analyzes process, value and quality related data to initiate, develop, and recommend practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, improved quality, and reduced cost.Directs, organizes, and engages in process and quality improvement initiatives.Serves as the lead to provide structure, project management and direction for new and existing workflow transformation and other quality improvement and clinical standardization initiatives. Develops action and projects plans focused on quality improvement and clinical standardization.Collaborate with leaders and clinical teams to assure that processes and services are continuously monitored for quality, cost effectiveness, and efficiency.Leads compliance activities to ensure services are provided in accordance with State and Federal regulations, organizational policies and procedures, medical staff bylaws and accreditation/compliance requirements.May serve as interim leadershipPartner with clinical stakeholders to document the inclusion of evidence-based practice guidelines and experiential knowledge. Formulate and revise algorithms, policies, procedures, pathways, and protocols. Bachelor's Degree In nursing, business, healthcare administration or related field7 years of relevant experience in healthcarePreferred
Master's Degree In nursing or related fieldDoctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP)Manager or Supervision experience highly encouraged5 years of relevant experience in Clinical nursing or clinical care5 years of relevant experience in Program Development7 years of relevant experience working within an organization of size and complexity comparable to Corewell HealthLIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire.
