Position Summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of clinical staff.
Responsibilities
• Acts as a clinical resource for team in daily problem solving
• Ensures appropriate patient assessment and treatment
• Responsible for coordination of care and education for patients
• Provides procedural oversight, if applicable
• Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement projects that are identified
• Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations
• Participates in Regulatory Compliance training and activities
• Ensures compliance with established regulations and standards including quality improvement projects, quality assurance, and confidentiality and EHR documentation
• Reviews and evaluates the work and performance of subordinates
• Has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of group
• Leads and directs the work of others
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
• BSN required
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program
• State of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho
• 3 years of healthcare experience required
• 3 years of experience as a charge nurse, manager, clinical instructor or supervisor in a setting related to clinical program preferred
• BLS required
• ACLS required
Working Conditions
• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
• Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
