OverviewStepStone provides therapeutic foster care services to youth in out of home care included foster home placement, case management, and therapy guided by a trauma informed care approach. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for clinical oversight of the Therapeutic Foster Care Program including leading treatment team consultation, reviewing assessments, treatment plans, and clinical notes for compliance with agency and regulatory requirements. Assists foster care staff in coordinating services to meet client needs. Reviews treatment planning and therapeutic interventions conducted by therapy and case management staff from a trauma informed care best practice perspective. Assists state Treatment Director in monitoring program(s) for quality improvement planning.
Responsibilities Supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of Stepstone foster care programs and complies willingly with all organizational policies and proceduresOversees local treatment team of therapists and provides individual clinician consultations monthly and as needed.Monitors local clinical staff providing therapy for compliance with various regulatory, contractual, accreditation, and evidenced-based program requirements. Provides support to all foster care staff to ensure the highest quality of service deliveryEnsures program adherence to all clinical policies and procedures and trauma informed care best practice. Assists and coaches clinicians providing therapy in the development of treatment plans, completion of assessments, and overall service deliveryProvides guidance and support to staff during placement disruption meetings.Provides guidance and support to foster parents to promote placement stability. Assists the State Treatment Director in the development and implementation of staff training programsParticipate in various monitoring/oversight activities including program auditsReports incidents of abuse or potential abuse involving children to the Program Director, Executive Director and Treatment DirectorReviews critical incidents and participates in staff debriefings.Supports and facilitates positive interaction with others by exhibiting:Trauma Informed Care Approach and Knowledge Individual maturityRespect for othersA team-centered approachMaintenance of confidential informationCultural competencyAdherence to ethical and legal standardsParticipates in appropriate professional development programs to attain and maintain competency and licensure.Reviews documentation of assessment, treatment planning and therapy interventions for compliance with trauma informed care best practice.Ensures therapeutic needs of program clients are met. Rotating on-call responsibilities for weekends and afterhours clinical interventionsProvide coaching and corrective actions for clinical staffProvide therapeutic services directly to clients as needed.Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Master’s Degree in Human Services with the ability to provide mental health therapyFive or more years’ experience working with families and childrenMust be provisionally or fully licensed; LPCA, LPCC, CSW, LCSW, LPA, LPP, LMFT, LMFTA Ability to demonstrate knowledge of job skills and complete orientation and training classes May require travel between facilities About our Line of Business StepStone Family and Youth Services provides the full spectrum of support to children in need of alternative, safer and more positive living environments with residential and family services.
