Clinical Supervisor - CA Residential

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities + Demonstrates and models professionalism and all skills of Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and of Direct Support Professional/Registered Behavior Technician (DSP/RBT) with a person-centered and trauma-informed approach and provides coverage, regularly performing all lead and direct care responsibilities as indicated in DSP/RBT/LPT and Lead RBT/LPT job descriptions, as needed. + Assumes the responsibilities of the Lead RBT in their absence. + Assists the Qualified Behavior Modification Professional (QBMP) in oversight of clinical functions of a Community Crisis Home (CCH) and/or Enhanced Behavior Support Home (EBSH). + Assists with the development and implementation of the IBSP, including data collection, review and analysis. + Assists with conducting Functional Behavior Assessments, including indirect assessments such as the Vineland, IPASS and FAST, for individuals supported in assigned residence. + Facilitates training and implementation of Person-Centered Thinking/Planning to all people YAI supports in the residential home. + Models an approach that emphasizes positive behavior supports, person-centered practices and trauma-informed care. + Employs a range of strategies for skill acquisition and skill generalization over time and across people, settings, situations, and activities. + Incorporates a variety of techniques to help with skill building, prompting, errorless teaching, maximizing learning opportunities, effective reinforcement, preference assessment and choice procedures. + Employs an array of empirically validated teaching strategies; modeling, incidental teaching, task analysis, chaining, and activity-embedded instructions. + Collaborates with the BCBA Director and the QBMP to ensure the clinical needs of the people YAI supports are being addressed; appropriately escalates concerns to clinical and program leadership. + Conducts weekly/monthly IOA/fidelity checks with RBT Leads, and RBTs/DSP (Direct Support Professional) staff. + Conducts Initial Competency Assessments with DSPs and re-certification Competency Assessments to RBTs and Lead RBTs in accordance with BACB guidelines for RBT certification. + Provides RBT supervision to direct care staff, including Lead RBTs, per BACB guidelines. + Contributes to the agenda of and participates in weekly clinical review meetings and assists with trainings when necessary. + Attends outside conferences and trainings to increase knowledge base and serves as a clinical resource to the agency/department. + Interfaces with the external consultants (e.g., RN, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Teachers, Day Program Coordinators etc.) to collaborate regarding the needs of the people YAI supports, including coordinate appointments and trainings and documents meeting notes. + Consults with program leadership, clinical staff, external consultants, community providers and other direct support staff to ensure streamlined and top-quality care for individuals and attends and actively participates in team meetings. + Conducts daily documentation checks, reviewing IPPs and IBSPs, medication administration records (MARs), ensures completeness and accuracy of staff notes for PWS (including DA and Behavior Agent notes). + Complies with all Federal, State, Local and other relevant regulatory agency requirements, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). + Completes and maintains all necessary trainings based on program and position to ensure compliance with YAI policies and licensing regulations and applies skills. + Completes and maintains Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) requirements for BCaBA or BCBA certification and for all other required recertifications, as needed. + Performs all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.) + Must hold active Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and be in good standing with BACB; and + Extensive knowledge of developmental disabilities, working with adult/children with significant behaviors of concern (e.g., self-injuries, aggression to others, property destruction etc.) + Knowledge of clinical syndromes. + Familiarity with California’s Lanterman Act and Title 17 and 22 regulations and the use of restraint. + Successful completion of Facility Manager Training within 30 days of appointment. + Successfully completion of State of California Direct Support Professional Training (DSPT) Year 1 and Year 2 courses within one year of appointment. + Hold (or obtain through employer-provided training) and maintain CPR/First Aid, Ukeru and CPI certifications. + Ability to meet essential physical demands of the position including frequent walking, sitting, standing, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling and reaching with hands and arms; use hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls; assisting with lifting/moving individuals of any weight with or without assistance of equipment and/or other staff; lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds on occasion; having the physical capacity to work with and implement emergency interventions as per the person’s Individual Behavior Support Plan and Individual Emergency Intervention Plan, if/as needed. + Valid Driver’s License required.
