Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position (2-3 sentences)

The associate shall be responsible for providing operational, clinical and financial direction to a single rehab department /facility. Assist in the development and implementation of programs, growth strategies directed towards increasing patient volumes and market share. Ensure the highest level of clinical care and operational efficiency, achieve financial targets, and ensure program integration within the Bon Secours system. Supervises clinical staff and front office staff at location. The associate shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashion. The associate shall perform patient care at a level appropriate to support patient access for the location and allow for proper administrative time to perform non-clinical duties.   

               

Essential Functions

Works with Rehab Manager to develop and implement operational and growth strategies to achieve/exceed financial targets.Works with Rehab Manager to develop operational and capital budgets for clinic.Develops and implements opportunities to continually improve operational efficiency while maintaining focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.Works closely with Rehab Manager to determine appropriate staffing matrix.Participates in interviews and hiring process for all staff; leads orientation and training of all new hires.Assists with and provide coaching, counseling, training and job expectations to new and existing associates. Performs quarterly check-ins with all staff to review performance and goals.Establishes a work environment that allows for the recruitment and retention of clinical and administrative staff; implement strategies to exceed world class status with employee engagement.Develops and implements clinical programs to support the Bon Secours Medical Group, especially orthopedics and sports medicine. Implements opportunities to integrate Rehab into other programs, services, service line initiatives.Develops and implements strategies to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction in all areas.Leads and participates in clinic engagement activities including fund raising opportunities and hospital initiatives. Assures site compliance and readiness for Joint Commission and State surveys, and with all regulatory and clinical requirements and competencies.Provides direct patient care; supervises direct patient care.This document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. Patient PopulationDemonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.  Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures.Adolescents (13-17 years)Adults (18-64 years).Pediatrics (1-12 years)Geriatrics (65 years and older)

Education Qualifications -

Required Minimum Education:

2 Year/ Associates Degree

Specialty/Major:

Graduate of Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree program for Physical Therapy

Preferred Education:

4 year/ Bachelors Degree

Specialty/Major:

Graduate of Master’s, or Doctorate degree program for PT, OT, ST.

Licensure/Certification Required:

State license is required state or certification to practice as PT

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Experience in working with an adult and geriatric population is necessary. Coachable with demonstrated leadership skills.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

Experience with an outpatient program/services and pediatric/adolescent populations is desirable, but not necessary
