Description
We are in the market for a Clinical Systems Analyst to join our clients' team located in Newark, New Jersey. The Clinical Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing our electronic medical record (EMR) operations. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including system development, customer support, and clinical and operational engagement with our staff.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the daily operations of our electronic medical record (EMR), ensuring its smooth function
• Provide both Level 1 and Level 2 support, directly to end-users and through the vendor respectively
• Engage with clinical and administrative teams to understand and document workflows and recommend improvements based on knowledge of existing and future software modules
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge about enhancements to Core Solutions, the internally used EMR system, and recommend future product enhancements based on identified gaps
• Plan, lead, and execute all upgrades, hotfixes, and integration efforts in collaboration with leaders and vendor support teams
• Create training curriculums and lead training sessions in group and individual settings; develop a Super-User strategy to broaden end-user support and training
• Define priorities, optimize tasks, and align them with the most urgent or impactful priorities
• Build, test, and maintain end-user security permissions/roles, forms and documents, configurations, interfaces/interoperability with 3rd party systems
• Develop processes for end-user support, acting as the primary conduit for all vendor-directed support needs
• Build reports and provide regular metrics related to customer support, accomplishments, project progress reports, and other directives from leadership.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical training
• 1-2 years of clinical systems experience (administrator or super user) required
• Knowledge of EMR and implementation from beginning to end
• Clinical background in substance abuse/recovery behavioral health a plus
• Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient clinical services a plus
