Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Clinical Team Lead to join our Med Surg Unit.
The Clinical Team Lead is a registered nurse who supports, leads, manages, and directs clinical practice on an assigned nursing unit, conducting confidential and protected audits, generating confidential reports and taking action on such audits as required. He or she provides assessment, prioritization and direction of activities to meet the changing unit demands. Following the direction of the Nurse Manager, he or she assumes leadership accountability for fostering the established professional practice and care delivery models. The Clinical Team Lead implements unit specific strategies as well as colleague specific practice remediation that results in achieving specific clinical quality and patient safety outcomes. Under direction of the Nurse Manager, provides administrative and operational oversight of patient and family care in the nursing unit. The Clinical Team Lead provides leadership, guidance, and support to all members of patient care unit team in order to ensure excellent patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, patient flow. The Clinical Team Lead has the authority, in the interest of the employer, to hire nurses, suspend pending investigation for safety or performance reasons, make unit staffing decisions, including low censusing, lay off, recalling nurses to work, discharging for safety or performance reasons, assigning work/projects/assignments, rewarding performance, evaluating performance, or issuing corrective action.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Nursing as normally obtained through a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or proof of enrollment in a BSN program with completion within 2 years. PA Professional Nursing LicenseBasic Life Support Health Care Provider and Advanced Care Life Support in specialty areas such as ICU, PCU, ED, and Perioperative Services.Specialty Certification preferred and required within one yearMust be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
