Clinical Team Lead Job, Various Day Shifts, IMCU Telemetry

Community Healthcare System is hiring a Clinical Team Lead for IMCU Telemetry to work days at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The Intermediate Care North Unit is a 32-bed multidisciplinary 24-hour unit located on the third floor of the hospital. Patients over the age of twelve may be admitted to this unit, but the average age is 65.  The most common types of patients admitted to IMCU North include patients with: ESRD patients (CAPD or Hemodialysis) either primary or secondary diagnosis, cardiac dysrhythmia, unstable angina, CAD, PVD, COPD, management of diabetes, CHF, general surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring postoperatively. Possible scheduled shifts on Telemetry CH 2 Fl based on unit needs. 

Clinical Team Lead Roles and Responsibilities:

Duties, responsibilities and expectations outlined in the Staff Nurse Job description Responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, organizing, directing and supervising unit activities under the direction of the Nurse Manager.  Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Community Healthcare System policies and procedures. Helps support and develop new initiatives on the unit. Provide clinical and administrative support structure for the unit. Engage the staff in quality improvement and guide in staff development and process change. Support new and current Intermediate care programs by participating in unit council and providing continued clinical input.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.    BSN desirable. Medical Surgical or Telemetry charge nurse experience required. Certification in specialty area required or earns within one year of accepting position. Successful completion of The Community Healthcare System’s Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs.  Current BLS provider. Current certifications required for specialty area (i.e. CPR, ACLS) Additional future certifications as directed/required. 3-5 years clinical experience in area of focus. Leadership experience preferred
