The Licensed Practical Nurse is directly responsible and accountable to the Department Manager for providing basic nursing care including performing routine procedures and testing, participating in patient teaching, communicating effectively with others and participating in decision making. The Team Leader will assist in the supervision of the daily operations of the department.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure
Graduate of approved school of practical nursing or equivalent.
Active license recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing (WV, if necessary)
Accurately retain and transfer information.
Current CPR Certification.

The Registered Nurse Lead reports to the Clinical/Site/Practice Manager. They are accountable to the director of nursing for adherence to clinical and regulatory best practice. The Holzer Mission and Values statements are mentioned frequently to guide solving problems. Leadership style used by the RN Lead provides clear instructions to empower staff to make decisions independently to exceed patient expectations. The RN Lead in conjunction with the manager utilizes a highly effective method of team and provider communication. Assists the manager leading the team to achieve deliver safe prompt high quality care for 100% of the face to face and telephone interactions with patients.
Serves as role model for professional conduct and clinical practice. The RN Lead is a resource for the team for adherence to best practice and regulatory guidelines. Promotes public relations and clinic communication between other HHS departments. Demonstrates the ability to take charge in any clinical or customer service situation. Is accessible to the team to assist or answer questions concerning patients and their problems.
Recognizes team members for good work frequently. With the manager ensures the staff and providers take responsibility for facets of compliance monitors and quality improvement projects. Engages staff and providers to create easy to follow upbeat strategies as a team to meet regulatory guidelines, quality indicators, and patient satisfaction metrics.
Assists manager and providers with scope of practice for RN, LPN, and unlicensed staff to determine appropriate delegation of clinical tasks. Ensures providers have assessed and determined unlicensed clinical staff members are competent to perform clinical tasks prior to physician and APP delegation. The RN Lead is responsible for the supervision of all licensed nursing personnel and student clinical experiences. Provides training for unlicensed clinical personnel including, certified and Non-Certified and Medical Assistants. Assists manager with monitoring various disciplines of students in the clinic.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
BSN preferred.
Current Applicable state licensed required by Ohio and/or WV Board of Nursing.
Current CPR certification.
Have current/or obtain ACLS, PALS, and/or BLS within ninety (90) days if needed.
Mastery of RN skill sets.
Certification in specialty or ambulatory nursing preferred.
