As a Clinical Technician, you will collaborate with fellow staff, including RNs, physicians, physical therapists and others, to provide stellar patient care. Aside from daily activities, you will also attend department meetings and complete educational and organizational requirements while on the team. Your efforts will directly impact the patient experience and enhance treatment outcomes. Additionally, you will find a supportive environment that encourages professional and career development.
A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 6:00AM – 6:30PM and 6:00PM – 6:30AM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, including taking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, point of care testing, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley catheters. Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN. Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly. Complete an internal training program within two weeks of start date.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED One year of recent, full-time patient care experience OR nursing student who has completed at least one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program OR military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) OR additional education/training (i.e., mental health experience) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) before or within new hire periodOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
