Hillcrest Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides the highest quality care for patients with complex acute and chronic health issues. As Clinical Technician, you will assist with basic patient care, maintain room cleanliness and demonstrate empathy and compassion in all activities and interactions.
A caregiver in this position works nights from 6:30PM – 7:00AM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to RN, including vital signs and weights. Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, apply external monitoring devices, clean dressing changes, and insert urinary Foley Catheters. Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly. Maintain personal growth and development through the ongoing process of formal and informal education.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) before or within new hire period One year of recent, full-time patient care experience OR nursing student who has completed at least one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program OR military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1)Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
