Job Description
In accordance with Clinical Learning department and Simulation Center needs, the Clinical Trainer will assist in planning and implementing clinical education for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta staff. The Clinical Trainer supports staff training and development programs including but not limited to onboarding classes, American Heart Association classes, and clinical skills training. They will also provide clear, concise, constructive feedback to participants. This individual will also proactively support the efforts to ensure the delivery of safe patient care and services.Experience
Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting (pediatric and adolescent patient populations preferred)Preferred Qualifications
Two years teaching experience in staff development, patient/family education, or community educationKnowledge of normal/abnormal growth and development throughout the age continuumExperience with application of adult learning principlesPALS Instructor certificationEducation
Bachelor of Science in NursingCertification Summary
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (applicable to BSN candidates)BLS Instructor certification within 90 days of hirePALS and BLS certification is required within 30 days of hireKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
