ClearChoiceMD is seeking a dependable full-time Clinical Trainer for our urgent care centers. Our ideal candidate is friendly and has excellent communication skills and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary: The clinical trainer is responsible for delivering clinical training, coordinating training sessions for new and current clinical employees and/or CPR certification and renewal classes to ensure all staff has the clinical skills necessary to appropriately care for patients. The clinical trainer reports to the manager of clinical training and is to instruct, teach, and support clinical new hires during entry into the organization. When not assigned training, the clinical trainer will support clinical operations by working shifts in the urgent care setting.
Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical Trainer - tasks include but are not limited to:
Facilitate and deliver clinical training courses for new employee onboarding training, in service training sessions and, if properly certified, CPR certification and renewal classes
Deliver all clinical on-boarding training in line with state, federal or legal requirements and in alignment with company standards
Introduce learners to the learning management system (LMS) and be able to track training activity and support learners as they navigate the LMS
Effectively facilitate clinical training courses to lead learners through course concepts to accomplish course objectives
Complete the internal train-the-trainer curriculum and be able to successfully conduct occupational health training courses.
Assess the clinical skills and knowledge of new and incumbent clinical team members and provides additional coaching and training to address gaps
Partner with manager of clinical training to identify additional training needs and collaborate on the creation of additional training, when needed, to enhance knowledge and experience
Serve as an advocate for learning and change management and can deliver courses in a way that continually support company’s training strategy
Support clinical operations by working shifts in the urgent care setting as needed

Education & Experience:
1-3 years’ experience as a certified American Heart Association (AHA) or CPR instructor is preferred
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Medical Assistant (MA), Paramedic, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN)
1-3 years of experience developing and presenting training
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, but not required
Supervisory Responsibility: There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.
Work Environment: This job operates in a medical office setting and urgent care setting and includes possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medical preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Physical Demands: This position entails a high level of work performed vocally, while standing and/or sitting, in front of groups of learners. Sometimes, at a computer terminal throughout the day as well as the regular use of a telephone or headset equipment, as well as working directly one on one with clinical staff in a center. As this position involves contact with the public in a medical environment incumbent may periodically experience moderate levels of stress.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is an full-time non-exempt position. Clinical trainer responsibilities will be Monday through Friday with an expected shift of 7:30am-3pm, but may vary based on training and/or clinic needs. When assigned clinical work in the urgent care center, shifts will twelve (12) hours from 8am to 8pm and may include weekend coverage.
Travel: Occasional travel may be needed. Not expected to exceed 10% of time worked.
