Clinical Training Proficiency Coach – THPG Basic Clinical Training Department – Full-Time, Days Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Clinical Training Proficiency Coach   Work location:   251 Westpark Way, THPG POB 3, Suite 200, Euless, TX 76040 Work hours:  Full-Time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Travel:  50% local to all service areas (mileage reimbursement provided)   THPG Basic Clinical Training Department Highlights: Supportive Leadership Team Collaborative Team Approach Training Environment Growth & Development Opportunities Here’s What You Need High School Diploma or Equivalent 4 Years Relevant Experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree (required) 2 Years Recent Experience in an Ambulatory Clinic Setting as a CMA or LVN (with Bachelor's Degree) (required) OR 6 Years Recent Experience in an Ambulatory Clinic Setting as a CMA or LVN (without Bachelor's Degree) AND 1 Year Training or teaching using adult learning principles (preferred) LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire (required) OR CMA - Certified Medical Assistant - acquired through an Accredited Program Upon Hire (required) AND CPR Certification Upon Hire (required) Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Experience with EMR Systems preferably EPIC Ability to utilize a variety of instructional and business technologies (e.g. audiovisual equipment, computer assisted instruction, etc.), training equipment, and teaching methods (e.g. lectures, demonstrations, etc.) Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience with public speaking, presentation and education/training in evidence-based practice. Participates in continuing education and other appropriate activities to maintain professional competence. Works effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements/situations Self-motivated, takes initiative, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proactive and collaborative working style with capacity to pivot priorities and balance multiple simultaneous projects based on organization needs.
What You Will Do Collaborates with Clinical Training team to conduct focused training in a classroom setting: Contributes to the development and preparation of training curriculum and materials based on student/employee feedback, student/ employee knowledge, needs assessments and areas for improvement identified. Monitors classroom training conditions and environment through active instructor presence; promotes positive classroom discipline and the time management. Possesses knowledge of and ability to implement a wide variety of interactive adult learning principles and instructional best practices into education and training programs. Assures a high-quality education and training experience by utilization of evidence-based resources and best practices. Provides lesson plans, course outlines, and classroom materials for instructor-led or virtual instruction. Independently completes projects/assignments to meet or exceed objectives. Conducts competency assessments in the classroom and/or the clinical setting: Explains and demonstrates clinical skills. Observes employees in practical application of procedures, assesses competencies and provides one-to-one training/coaching as needed. Performs skill evaluations in the clinical setting as needed to meet program requirements by travelling to THPG clinics in the DFW Metroplex when required. Supports the Risk/Compliance department to identify remedial training and monitoring through instructor- led training. Track satisfactory completion of required staff clinical competencies: Documents performance and provides feedback to employee on level of performance based on class objectives. Completes employee evaluation forms in a timely manner. Responsible for inputting employee performance results in specified database. Identifies and assigns learning plans for immediate and on-going educational needs of employee related to clinical skills and knowledge; collaborates with practice manger and employee in the planning and deliver of educational resources; follows-up as needed. Contributes, as needed, to THPG's clinical staff development through coaching/mentoring and educational programs designed to meet THPG performance standard (i.e. Lunch and Learns, clinical innovations trainings, knowledge sharing, etc.) Additional Responsibilities: Works with manager to continually provide feedback on training and proficiency programs Performs other duties as assigned by manager and/or THPG leadership to meet organization requirements.   Additional perks of being a Texas Health employee Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program as well as several other benefits.
