Clinical Wound Care RN Outpatient - FT - Day - Hyperbaric Medicine

Position Overview:

Provides consultation and specific clinical care to patients within the outpatient setting needing instruction, management, nursing treatment plans for skin, wound, and ostomy care, and for incontinence management.Documents assessments, plan of care, interventions, evaluation, outcomes and nursing orders on appropriate chart forms and the outpatient electronic medical record.Promotes best practice by demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care and the profession of nursing.Obtains specimens and cultures, identifying patients and specimens according to CH policy. Recognizes important changes in patient condition and reacts appropriately in the Ambulatory setting.Collaborates with the inpatient wound care team to provide continuity of care across the continuum.Performs nursing care/treatment modalities appropriate for individual patients. Assists LIP with procedures, removes sutures, cleans wounds, applies dressings.Maintains and develops knowledge base and skills in the area of wound, ostomy, and continence therapy.Maintains current professional knowledge and competence in the specialty areas.Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associate's degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.

Wound Specialty Education from accredited program (WOCN, WCC, CWCN, CWS, or CWCA) required within one year of hire date.

NJ RN License RequiredThree years of experience working as a registered nurse in an acute care healthcare facility or ambulatory wound care center with minimum of two years of wound care experience. AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider
