Clinician - Adolescent Substance Use Job Code:12681 Location:Brunswick 04011 Department:Therapy Clinic Based FT/PT Status:Part Time Summary: Provides assessment, counseling and consultation for clients who have a history of substance use. Provides training to not licensed staff in Substance Abuse general consultation and program resource development in Substance Abuse services for treatment teams. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** + Assesses individual and family situations and the impact that past/current substance use has had on the individual and family system. + After assessment, identify those in need of substance abuse treatment and provide appropriate services or referrals. + Run substance use groups + Formulate and implement treatment goals and objectives for clients and families. + Work with other team members and community representatives toward development and implementation of treatment process. + Understand and implement therapy techniques and practices, group treatment, and individual therapy as appropriate. + Offer substance abuse perspective in discussions regarding proposal development and implementation of program changes that respond to the changing needs of clients served. + Provide training and consultation on Substance Abuse treatment as requested. + 90% Documentation in the EHR within 72 hours of service delivered. + Carry at least three (3) Adolescents usingAdolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA) (https://www.chestnut.org/ebtx/treatments-and-research/treatments/a-cra/) to increase the family, social, and educational/vocational reinforces to support recovery. **GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:** + Participate in program development, decision and maintenance, representing the substance use perspective. + Participate and attend training to support service delivery. + Positively represents the organization in the community in relation to substance use services. + Fulfill job functions by participating as an active member in all training and participating on organization task forces. + Ensure the confidentiality of all client information and release of information from area(s) of responsibility. + Ability to support and recognize the important role volunteers play. Sweetser employees work with, support, collaborate with volunteers, and promote opportunities for volunteer engagement. + Follow Suicide safer care practices. + Other duties as assigned. **EDUCATION:** Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a closely affiliated field. **CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:** Appropriate licensing at State level: LADC **EXPERIENCE:** Minimally, one year of demonstrated competence in substance abuse assessment and counseling. Demonstrated knowledge of substance abuse and its impact on children and families. _Position can be located in either Brunswick or Lewiston._
