Clinician Educator Faculty Position, Gastroenterology - Junior ranks

The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn medical students, residents and fellows, as well as graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing outpatient and inpatient care of patients at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), and/or outpatient care of patients at Penn Medicine at Radnor (PMR) that specializes in IBD, motility/physiology, hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and/or general gastroenterology.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include opportunities to participate in clinical research in their field, as well as collaboration with members of labs in their research and give their contributions. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track.
Applicants will have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Selected candidates will join a highly interactive and exciting multi-disciplinary academic and clinical environment at the University of Pennsylvania as an integral member of the Division of Gastroenterology and will have opportunities to teach in the GI fellowship and internal medicine residency programs at the Perelman School of Medicine.
