Clinician Educator or Tenure Faculty Position - Senior ranks
The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine. Teaching responsibilities may include participating in the Perelman School's outstanding educational programs at the UME, GME or post-graduate level. Clinical responsibilities may include direct patient care in the inpatient or outpatient setting. Selected candidates who hold a medical degree will be expected to maintain an active clinical practice. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing and mentoring trainees in a research program in areas of high relevance for general internal medicine, including but not limited to health services and policy research: comparative effectiveness, health economics, behavioral economics, implementation science, health psychology, informatics, clinical or social epidemiology, medical sociology, and disease prevention. The successful candidate will have a track record of outstanding research accomplishments and extramural funding, high-impact publications, and a strong national (Associate rank)/international (Professor rank) reputation. Selected candidates will be expected to provide mentorship and to serve in leadership roles. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
