Northern Rivers is seeking a licensed Fee for Service (FFS) Clinician in the Schenectady, NY area to work with the underserved groups in our community by providing clinical/counseling to individuals, families and/or couples in an outpatient mental health clinic that is licensed by New York Office of Mental Health (OMH). With this oversight, the OMH ensures a quality of care so that our clients receive the mental health services they need. The pay is $40 - $54 depending on licensure.

 

What a FFS Clinician with Northern Rivers can expect:

Manage a caseload of clients aged birth to 65, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and individual and family therapy services to individuals assigned to caseload. Create initial treatment plans/treatment plan reviews, other documents as indicated as part of the agency process, and progress notes for each scheduled appointment. Document all phone/collateral communication. Record and maintain case records according to Agency, COA, OMH, Insurance, and DOH standards. Collaborate with on-site prescriber as needed for client care. Attend Behavioral Health Center staff meeting twice a month. Attend and participate in Supervision; weekly, bi-weekly or monthly based on licensure level or individual needs. Provide referral, collateral and linkage services as needed. Respond to all client calls within 48 hours. The FFS Benefit Eligible position is expected to schedule 40 billable units per week and manage a caseload of approximately 80 clients. The FFS Non-Benefit Eligible position is expected to schedule 5 billable units per week.

 

Your Education and Experience

Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counselor. Experience in human services, case management, line staff at a residential program, or any other related direct care within human services. Both pre and post master degree experience will be considered. License eligible and have a limited permit in discipline - Full license (LMHC/LCSW/LCSW-R) preferred. Good standing with the NYS Office of the Professions.
