Job Summary Provides psychological and behavioral support services to children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities residing in a community-based group home and provides consultation to other professionals or members of the interdisciplinary teams. Such services and supports will include the development of behavior support programs, comprehensive training, and the provision of individual, group, and/or family therapies. Conducts psychological assessments, including functional analyses and psychometric evaluations. Conducts initial and follow up assessments as determined by individualized treatment needs, develops treatment plans and behavior support plans, and monitors progress toward treatment goals. Assists their assigned program areas by providing clinical leadership and guidance regarding the implementation of treatment strategies and the development and maintenance of a healthy living environment. Identifies and provides training to Behavior Support Staff and professional staff on topics relevant to work performance. Responsible for program development and implementation and provision of individual and group psychotherapy services as well as crisis management/stabilization services. Develop consumer behavior change strategies that are evidenced-based and derive from appropriately conducted functional, structural, and/or diagnostic analyses. Such change strategies may include behavior modification programs, psycho-educational instruction strategies, various forms of individual, group, or family therapy, or any other such behavior change strategy that is consistent with both pertinent regulatory standards and good practice standards. Monitors the efficacy of all clinical behavior change strategies with objective data. Participates in medication reviews with the program psychiatrist and other parties, providing objective data to assist the psychiatrist in his/her deliberation. Attends meetings, providing clinical leadership and functioning as a member of treatment teams. Participates in Treatment Review meetings. Offers clinical assessment and guidance regarding treatment approaches and behavior management. Provides crisis management and facilitates emergency psychiatric hospitalization of clients when necessary, under the supervision of the Clinical Director. Serves as a liaison between Woods Community Services and the psychiatric hospital during the consumer’s hospital stay. Facilitates the consumer’s eventual return to Woods Community Services. Completes Monthly Summaries and Behavior Grids of client progress; enters progress notes as required by best practice. Confers with team members regarding client needs, status, and progress and provides expertise to employees in understanding the psychological strengths and weaknesses of clients. Serves as liaison to family members and relevant agencies. Identifies training needs and provides training to Behavior Support Staff. Develops behavior support plans and treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions and monitor fidelity. Provides ongoing monitoring/analyzing of data and makes programming adjustments as needed. Completes session progress notes using DAP format, monthly clinical summaries, and other paperwork in a timely manner and in compliance with funding agencies and licensing requirements. Participates in all treatment team meetings and presents progress, barriers, goals, and interventions to the team members. Performs other duties relevant to program operations as defined by the Clinical. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends if needed. Maintains credentials and continuing education. Graduate degree in psychology or related discipline. Unlicensed or Licensed mental health professional including BCBA, LPC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist. Familiarity with evidence-based practices. Knowledge of psychopathologyand human Minimum of two years of experience in the mental health, social services, or other related discipline working with adolescents and adults with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism. Prior experience working in residential, group homes, mobile therapy, and/or IBHS preferred. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
