Staff Pharmacist Description: The staff pharmacist is responsible for interpreting all prescriptions, providing counseling and advice to patients and prescribers, and supervising technicians while performing final quality checks. They support the pharmacy management in fulfilling the pharmacy’s mission. Key responsibilities include interpreting prescription orders and inputting them into the computer system, advising patients and doctors about products, checking compounding formulas, updating lot and expiration dates, performing final checks on all prescriptions, supervising technicians, verifying that prescriptions are entered correctly into the computer against the hard copy, accepting verbal orders from various sources, answering phones as needed, monitoring compliance with the policies and procedures, and following all state and federal laws. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Hard Skills + Pharmd required + Experience with Compounding + Experience working in a manufacturing environment + Experience working in a Federally Regulated Facility + Strong chemistry experience + Strong non-sterile compounding experience + Technical writing skills for writing Standard Operating Procedures Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Youngtown, Arizona. Schedule Monday - Friday hours varies between 7am-6pm Work Environment Compounding Pharmacy, closed door. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $65.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
