Job SummaryThe Closeout Analyst II is responsible for the closeout of complex contracts, requiring challenging financial reconciliations. Works independently to provide support in the closeout of procurement actions and client contracts.
ResponsibilitiesADMINISTRATIVE CLOSEOUT RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners with operations and contracts staff to gather and record information required for closeout of expiring client contracts. Works with Project Managers to collect data to complete Federal Government forms such as DD250’s and DD882’s. Completes other closeout related documentation as contractually required per contract terms or Federal Government regulations.Maintains records as prescribed in the Internal Operating Procedures.Responds to internal and external requests for documentation related to closed contracts in a timely manner. Researches and gathers information to complete client specific closeout forms.

Analyzes and interprets results and contract billing files to ensure accuracy.Participates in system testing activities.Monitors departmental mailboxes.Special projects as assigned.Key QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree (in Finance or Accounting preferred); four years of billing or procurement experience (preferably with Federal Government agreements); or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
Prior experience with contracting concepts, Federal Acquisition Requirements, Uniform Commercial Code.
Strong knowledge of project costing, general ledger accounting and revenue recognition.
Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as an effective team member. Sound business ethics.
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities and short deadlines.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills especially in using advanced functions in Excel, running queries and updating tables in Access and using organizational tools offered in Outlook.
Must have a background which would not preclude obtaining security clearance.
