This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for within the States of Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Employees located within 50 miles of a BHN office will be considered a “Hybrid” employee and are required to come into the office 2 days per week based on office schedule.

 

Overview:

We are looking to hire Cloud Architecture and Cost specialist with FinOps experience to manage and optimize AWS cloud cost for BHN Engineering organization. Desired candidate combines deep knowledge of running cloud software workloads and project/product management expertise. 

 

Responsibilities: Implement, maintain, and oversee FinOps practices, methodologies, and processes, with a focus on analyzing cloud usage and spending data to identify areas for cost optimization.Improve Design and Architect of BHN Cloud Applications to reduce cloud spend.Design and code BHN Platform Tools and Software used for Cloud resources cost management.Optimize cloud resources by applying clear set of rules/polices on the way resources are being provisioned, configured, and consumed. Monitor cloud usage and spend data to identify cost saving opportunities. Maintain cost and cloud resources hygiene. Analyze cloud usage patterns to identify and address cost anomalies. Collaborating with finance, operations, and technology teams to drive cost optimization initiatives Reporting and forecast cost savings progress. Maintain the backlog of cost savings opportunities. Run the cost management program with Ops and Application Teams.  Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, computer science, or information systems managementAt least ten years of software development experienceExpertise in at least one of the back-end programming languages: Python, Java, or TypeScript (you will code)At least five years of experience in AWS Cloud Management At least three years of experience in project management, or financeExceptional presentation skills Working knowledge of CloudFormation, Helm, TerraformWorking knowledge of Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, ASG, Redis, DockerWorking knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, JenkinsExperience working in Agile Scrum environment as well as OPS environmentExperience with reporting technologiesExperience working with FinOps Tools (AWS Trust Advisor, CloudHealth, etc.) Highly organized Detail-oriented Math skills or a background in financeClear, effective written and oral communication

Benefits:

Salary Range for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $125,100.00 to $168,900.00

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $157,030.00 to $212,000.00
