Cloud Architect

Responsibilities:

Provides Cloud environment expertise across the entire Systems Engineering V.  Applies problem solving skills to identify and respond to design and implementation challenges. Lead and collaborate with internal and external partners/stakeholders under various teaming formats e.g. working groups (WG), steering groups, Integrated Product Teams (IPT) etc.  Decisively lead, impactfully collaborate, substantively contribute to, and/or comprehensively take charge of taskings, milestones and formulation planning.  Provide hands-on oversight of and mentorship to cognizant program-wide to plan, develop, manage, track, and fulfill all contract deliverables.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a STEM degree 5 + Years of experience in software engineering and coding in the cloud environment.   TS/SCI eligible Hands-on experience in application and execution of implementing a software in a cloud environment with knowledge of processes and best practices. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline and DevSecOps approach and the efficiencies for integrating capabilities into the operational baseline.  Candidate must have strong written communication skills, possess good people skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail and have the desire to work on a highly focused technical team of engineers, analysts, and scientists.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Hands-on experience with cloud environments in development, test, and operational environments at multiple security levels.  Knowledgeable in leveraging cloud-provided Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) to facilitate data transfer through multiple environments and engage with cognizant security authorities to gain the necessary approval. Working knowledge of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF) architecture views standards, syntaxes, and formulation for space and ground systems. Knowledgeable in detail designs of satellite systems, ground-based mission systems, or mission operations.
