As the Cloud Architect, you'll have the chance to translate customer and business needs into a complete Azure cloud solution and drive its implementation with support from a cross-functional R&D team.

What You’ll Work On
Define architecture of Azure cloud computing platform to support connected medical devices in remote management, modeling/analytics reporting, software updates, etc.Configure environments such as development, test, staging and production.Drive detailed implementation and configuration of managed services.Delegate applicable workstreams to DevOps and front/back-end software developers.Identify technical risks, ensure quality, reliability, and ensure security of cloud implementation.Ensure adequate documentation of design and test activities in compliance of global regulatory standards and guidance.Leverage expertise and existing products across other Abbott business units to drive efficiency within own workstream.Ensure performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.Augment quality system processes and procedures to incorporate scalable, efficient cloud development aspects.Engage in technical planning, design, and code reviews including peer code reviewsStay current with emerging trends, making recommendations as needed to help the organization innovateDevelop customer needs, design input requirements, and design outputs.Participate and lead aspects of phasegate reviews using established processes.Consult business and functional leaders in topics of staffing and budgetRequired Qualifications
Cloud Development: Proven experience in ground-up cloud development deployment is essential.IoT Experience: Experience with cloud-enabled IoT connectivity and lifecycle management.Experience in Coding (any of the following): C, C++, Go, Python, Rust, Java, Spark, or C#/.NET languages/frameworks.A Drive to Win: Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment that operates like a startup. Ability to strategically plan and make data-driven decisions.Leadership and Team Culture: A bias towards action, willingness to challenge the status quo and ability to succeed despite challenges. The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
