Purpose Statement: The Cloud Architect has global responsibility for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure solutions. The Cloud Architect is the expert in cloud technologies, has a strong understanding of business needs, and the ability to translate technical requirements into scalable and reliable cloud architectures. The Cloud Architect will be forward looking with a strategic and innovative mindset, ensuring technology trends are known and incorporated in our roadmaps.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Responsible for the overall cloud architecture design.
Understands technology trends and incorporates those into strategic roadmaps to drive innovation and business growth.
Leads strategy and planning for cloud systems and develops effective implementation strategies consistent with specified requirements, architectures and constraints of performance and feasibility.
Owns implementation and management of cloud technologies.
Responsible for cloud security, governance, and awareness.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. (Computer Science / IT)
4 or more years of direct experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud (preferred) and/or Azure, AWS
4 or more years of experience working with security, networking, and DevOps principles
Previous experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform
4 years of related experience required; 6 or more years of related experience is preferred
Certification in the related architecture field is desirable
Proficient English reading, writing, and speaking skills
