We are seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to lead the Cloud infrastructure architecting, design and implementation for a systems modernization project. The candidate must have extensive experience in AWS cloud computing, a deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, and the ability to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions that meet business needs. This role requires collaboration with various business, software development and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of the application’s cloud
infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture and Design: Develop the Cloud architecture to migrate a number of legacy on-prem applications to the AWS cloud. Ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Cloud Migration & Application Modernization: Lead the architecting and designing of the Cloud infrastructure for the migration of on-premises applications to a new PaaS solution in AWS. Leverage AWS services such as EKS, EC2, RDS, and Lambda, to enable scalability and optimize operational costs. Lead the deployment of cloud solutions, including migration of applications and data to AWS cloud environments
Cl/CD Pipeline implementation: Identify and design the Cl/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, GitHub CI for automated deployment of multitier applications. Establish infrastructure provisioning using IaC with CI/CD
Microservices Architecture: Design and implement the cloud infrastructure for microservices development, deployment and hosting on AWS.
Expertise in container management using Kubernetes, API Gateways, serverless computing with AWS Lambda
Data Fabric Architecture: Design and implement the infrastructure to support RDS for applications, Data Warehousing and Snowflake integrations
Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, DevOps, and IT teams to build and manage cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
Monitoring & Optimization: Implement monitoring tools and performance metrics, analyzing cloud performance and making recommendations for improvement.
Security: Establish cloud security protocols and governance, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies.
Documentation: Create and maintain architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on cloud technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in cloud computing and architecture. Hands on expertise architecting and implementing cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and microservices architecture.
7+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts).
7+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and DevSecOps practices. Experience integrating scanning and testing tools such as SonarQube, Pytest, Locust, Anchore, etc.
7+ years of experience with serverless architecture and cloud-native application development, networking and security concepts in cloud environments, database services (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, data lakes) in AWS.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification
Green Card Holder or US Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements
Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$112,513.00 - $191,273.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
