Cloud Cost Optimization Business Analyst

We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Analyst to join our Cloud Technology team, focusing on service optimization and cloud cost management. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to gain expertise in public cloud technologies while working with a motivated team guiding Thomson Reuters' cloud hosting and third-party monitoring services.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Cloud Cost Optimization Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:
· Cloud Cost Management:
o Assist in analyzing the cost implications of cloud technology choices for new and existing projects.
o Help identify underutilized resources and support cost optimization efforts.
o Learn to create and maintain cost-related reports and dashboards.
· Team Collaboration:
o Work with product development teams to understand their cloud usage and cost drivers.
o Support the design and implementation of cloud cost visualization tools.
o Participate in discussions with peers, architects, and managers to understand cloud strategies.
· Financial Planning:
o Assist in budget planning and forecasting activities related to cloud costs.
o Help prepare monthly reviews of current spend vs. budget.
o Learn to analyze data and identify cost trends.
About You
You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:
· Bachelor's degree in finance, data analytics, technology, or related field
· 0-2 years of experience in a business or technical role
· Basic understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
· Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
· Strong interest in technology and willingness to learn
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work in a globally distributed team
