GDIT Technology Share Solutions (TSS) is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer (Azure) for the Indian Health Service Four Directions Datawarehouse (IHS 4DW) project.
IHS, an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) people. This role supports the mission critical modernization effort of retiring its resource and patient management system (RPMS) and moving to a new electronic health record (EHR) system.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Design and implement test environments that simulate production-scale data loads from 200+ healthcare facilitiesCreate models of data transformation processes to validate ETL accuracy and performanceBuild automated testing frameworks for validating health data quality and pipeline reliabilityDevelop test data generators that accurately represent healthcare data patterns and edge casesImplement load testing and performance validation solutions for Azure-based data pipelinesCreate and maintain testing environments for HL7 FHIR data transformationsAssist in all data engineering aspects of the Four Directions Datawarehouse projectProvide technical leadership on testing architecture and validation approachesWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree and 3+ years of experience or equivalent years of experienceStrong experience with Azure data services including Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data FactoryExpertise in creating test automation frameworks and performance testing toolsProficiency in Python and SQL for developing test data generators and validation scriptsExperience with Infrastructure as Code for creating reproducible test environmentsTrack record of implementing automated testing pipelines and DevOps practicesExperience in simulating and testing large-scale data processing systemsMust be able to obtain a public trust level 5 clearance, which requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.NICE TO HAVE:

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
